When did it become socially acceptable to pit women against each other based on their body image?
Whoever made this must have some kind of issue with not being the size of the first four women, but clearly do not realise that by making statements like this they are reinforcing the judgement and inequality between women that they are trying to, so very naively, fight against.
It isn’t a competition, nor should it be made into one. This should say “Why aren’t all of these women considered to be equally beautiful and why do women feel the need to criticise each other whilst feeling sorry for themselves?” It doesn’t work like that. You either realise the irony of it all and stop viewing body types as seperate things and start viewing them as what they are, merely fluid opinion of beauty but beauty nonetheless.
Things like this irritate me because people believe by comparing women they will stop people comparing women, how on earth does that work?

This is why you’re awesome, Danni.

all of the above
Okay so I don’t agree with what is above because this is about how the society’s definition on woman has so drastically changed over a generation. You used to see famous woman who where all over the mainstream culture that where busty and had full figures and where beautiful while being very healthy. Now you see woman that their bones show and they look almost sickly and that is considered what every body should look like. I’m not saying that this fight with weight has not been apparent over time, but in today’s culture it’s become an epidemic. One that needs to be adjusted and our next generation should not feel that seeing and feeling their rib cage is the best thing nor should they feel that being over weight should be the thing. I fully believe that we need to go back to a time where full is beautiful and curves are something to be proud of not seen as a roll of fat on the hip bone you are so desperate to see.
